  • connection profiles on ctalab computer (odo)
    • Ethernet for internet (eno1) should be connected with "Profile 1" profile
    • Ethernet for media converter (enp3s0) should be connected with " TargetC " profile
  • Hooking everything up to power now
    • Found that the 0.5 A level we set was current limiting, specifically to a spike in current at the start
    • We have raised the current limit to 1.0 A and now it seems to be working
    • With 12 V applied through adapter board to FEE (prior to connection), current holds steady at 0.64 A
  • Our module is module 3
  • Trying to take a pedestal run
    • 12 V bias only for adapter board (module), no HV
    • /working in software base: ~/software/CTA/svn/CCC/TargetIO/trunk/script/SCT_TM/INFN_test_system
      • ./INFN_FEE_QC.py -p -npg -cfg defaults.yaml 3
        • (npg = no pulse generator)
    • We found that we had to bump up the current limit to 1.2 A
    • Pre-connection:
      • Current goes to 0.65 A and holds steady
    • Connection and during pedestal run:
      • Current goes to 1.09 A and holds steady
        • Is this current level expected?
  • Tried to take a signal run using INFN_FEE_SMART_QC.py, using defaults_smart.yaml
    • Got an error "did you forget to enable datataking?"
      • The file is probably empty, given that the pulser was off and the trigger was set to external
      • The pulser check is not done by INFN_FEE_SMART_QC, but the pulser should be on for data taking
      • Checked that the bias was delivered correctly to the SMART board, see pictures
      • For next test, we can either try and turn the pulser on or run a triggerscan on noise (the trigger is set to hardsync and not external, so the pulser should not be needed)
