Accounts at Nevis are created by the system administrator, and can be requested through one of the senior members of the group. The process is pretty fast. Accounts at RCF have to be obtained through Prof Cole and/or Prof Zajc. They will contact the relevant individuals at BNL and start the process. This application process tends to take some time. You will be instructed on what to do when needed.

This section describes what you need to install and do in order to log into Nevis and RCF remotely, once you have accounts there. First we will describe setting up access to Nevis, including how to set up your laptop (assuming you have one). We then discuss the process of connecting to RCF.
